The Commodore

Don't take this to mean you can't get a great deal on tax property - quite the opposite. The redemption period is the hot time to buy - specifically, the last two months - directly from the owners themselves. At this point, the owners that are left are probably not planning to redeem the property.

This is the best source The Commodore of cheap, easy property. Many times these properties are ones that were willed to an unhappy heir, that lives somewhere else or just doesn't want the responsibility. They're already letting the property go, so ask them if they'd mind signing over the deed to you. For their time, you can offer a few hundred dollars. Then, it's up to you to decide how to take your profits from your $200 property!
